This is not a typical album. Each song celebrates sex positivity and nude freedom in some playful way. They're our way of trying to open up the world a bit while making people smile and boogie. The BonoboKnows believe nudity is harmless, and that sexuality can be a magnificently diverse cool driving force in our lives.  Your body is beautiful. Your sexuality is your treasure to care for and enjoy (or not) and share (or not) in whatever way makes sense for you and yours. Whatever floats your boat and is consensual is cool, but so is the vast sea of diverse consensual desires and practices that floats the flotillas around us.  We believe that the more people openly express nudity/sexual ideas through song, T-shirts, open discussion, theater - whatever - the more people will recognize that they aren’t freaks for having similar thoughts. And even if they don’t share the thoughts and desires being expressed, if they hear about them, they may become more accepting of lifestyles and sexuality different from their own. And maybe they’ll knock it off with all the judgmental shit. It’s cool that other people are different!

The Bonobos are one of our two closest relatives (chimpanzees are the other). They are known for being affectionate, compassionate and kind. And verrrry sexual. Bonobos prevent and resolve conflict through sexual interactions of many different variations. We wonder if perhaps the Bonobo knows something we don’t know, and maybe we could learn from them. We wish we were more like Bonobos. In some ways, anyway.

Nuff said. We also believe in having a gooooood time. We hope our songs and other offerings make you smile, laugh, sing, wiggle, writhe and think. And if they don’t, then look and listen somewhere else.
